Tax Free Commuter is here to help you avail of the Government tax free travel incentive. We work with your employer to make it as simple as possible for both you and your employer to avail and manage the scheme. Under the scheme your employer will purchase commuter tickets or a bike and accessories on your behalf and then they must deduct it from your salary under a salary sacrifice arrangement. You will not pay Tax, Prsi or USC on the price of the ticket which means you will save between 29.5% and 49.5% on the cost of the commuter ticket or bike.
Tax Free Commuter is here to administer the scheme for your employer so you will need to register with us and apply online for a ticket or bike. In the case of the bike, once your employer has approved your application we will send you a voucher so you can collect your bike immediately. Commuter tickets are slightly different. Once your employer has approved and paid for your ticket we will send you your ticket.
When ordering commuter tickets, we can arrange for you to order the tickets one or two months in advance. This will be determined by your employer.
